The Society for Insurance Science and Design e. V. (GVG) is a non-profit registered association. The main task of the GVG is to work out consensus positions with the participation of the key players in the social and health sector . Its mission statement and goals are based on the basic values ​​of solidarity, subsidiarity and pluralism.

history

The Society for Insurance Science and Design e. V. (GVG) was founded on May 9, 1947, on May 16, 2017 the company celebrated its 70th anniversary with a greeting from the President of the Federal Social Court, Rainer Schlegel. The original seat of GVG has been Cologne since it was founded, and in 2016 the office moved to Berlin. Association purpose

Members

Ordinary members of the GVG are the statutory social insurances, private health, long-term care and life insurances, professional and company pension schemes, health care providers, trade unions and employers' associations as well as representatives from science. They are represented in the general assembly, the highest decision-making body of the GVG. Extraordinary members - with only an advisory vote - can become individuals interested in the goals of the society, provided that they are active as scientists or experts in the fields of social and private insurance.
