Prémeyzel is a French commune in the Ain department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Belley in the arrondissement of the same name . It is bordered by Saint-Bois to the north-west, Arbignieu to the north-east, Peyrieu to the east, Izieu to the south, Brégnier-Cordon to the south-west and Saint-Benoît to the west . The residents call themselves Prémeyzélans.
