Peyrieu is a French commune in the Ain department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Belley in the arrondissement of Belley .
geography
Peyrieu is located immediately west of the Rhône , which flows there from north to south, and is bordered by Brens in the north, La Balme in the east, Murs-et-Gélignieux in the south and southwest , Izieu in the southwest , and Prémeyzel in the west Northwest at Arboys-en-Bugey .
