Souclin is a French municipality with 273 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement Belley , the canton Lagnieu and the community association Plaine de l'Ain . The inhabitants are called Souclinois .

Souclin is located about 47 kilometers northeast of Lyon in the Côtière region south of the Dombes .
In addition to the core town, the municipality also includes the villages of Soudon and Fay .
