Chazey-Bons is a French commune with 1,112 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement Belley , the canton Belley and the municipality association Bugey Sud .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2017 by merging the former municipalities of Chazey-Bons and Pugieu to form a commune nouvelle of the same name . The former municipalities have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Chazey-Bons.

Chazey-Bons is located about 55 kilometers east of Lyon in southern Bugey . Chazey-Bons is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Virieu-le-Grand in the north and north-west, Cuzieu in the north, Marignieu in the east, Magnieu in the east and south-east, Belley in the south, Andert-et-Condon in the west and south-west, Contrevoz in the west and Cheignieu-la-Balme in the northwest.
