Charnoz-sur-Ain is located about 32 kilometers east-northeast of Lyon on the Ain . Charnoz-sur-Ain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Meximieux in the north and north-west, Chazay-sur-Ain in the east, Blyes in the south-east, Saint-Jean-de-Niost in the south and Pérouges in the west.
