Gesten Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Anst Herred in the then Ribe Office , then to Vejen Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Vejen municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

1561 inhabitants live in the parish, 946 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Gesten Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Andst Sogn in the south, Vejen Sogn in the south-west, Læborg Sogn in the west, Bække Sogn in the north- west and Veerst Sogn in the north , and Lejrskov Sogn in the neighboring municipality of Kolding in the east .
