Holsted Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Malt Herred in the then Ribe office , then to the Holsted municipality in the extended Ribe office , which was merged into the "new" Vejen municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform . On October 1, 2010, the former church district Sankt Peders Kirkedistrikt in Holsted Sogn became an independent Sogn Sankt Peders Sogn (Vejen Municipality) with the abolition of the Danish church districts .
2115 inhabitants live in the parish, 3123 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Holsted Kirke" is located in the parish.
Neighboring communities are in the north-east Lindknud Sogn , in the east Brørup Sogn , in the south Føvling Sogn , in the west the part of Gørding Sogn (Esbjerg Kommune) in the area of Vejen and in the north-west Åstrup Sogn .
