history

The place name probably goes back to the family name Geuder.

The first mention was around 1450 in a register of the ownership rights of the monastery Langheim as "Gewdersperg". In 1503 Abbot Heimeran von Langheim inherited and lent a Sölde "vffn Geudersperg" from Anna Geuderein or Reuterin. From 1586 to 1650 "Geüderszberg" was vacant. In 1801 the place Geutersberg was described in a description of the bishopric of Bamberg as an area that consisted only of single properties and formerly belonged to Hochstadt.

In 1862 the rural community of Hochstadt, consisting of the church village of Hochstadt and the hamlet of Gruben as well as the wasteland of Geutersberg, was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Lichtenfels . In 1871 the wasteland had five residents and one building. It belonged to the Catholic parish in Zeuln, 4.5 kilometers away . The responsible Catholic school was in the village of Wolfsloch, 1.0 km away . In 1900 six people lived in a residential building in Geutersberg, which was assigned to the district of the evangelical parish of Obristfeld , 7.0 kilometers away . The responsible Catholic school was in Hochstadt, 2.0 kilometers away. In 1925 5 people lived in a residential building in the village. In 1950 the wasteland had 6 residents and 1 residential building. It was parish of the parish of Marktzeuln and attached to the parish of Hochstadt and belonged to the district of the evangelical parish of Schwürbitz . In 1970 Geutersberg had seven residents and in 1987 three residents as well as a residential building with one apartment.
