The common cabbage rose ( Nigritella nigra subsp. Rhellicani (Teppner & E. Klein) H.Baumann, Künkele & R.Lorenz , Syn .: Gymnadenia rhellicani (Teppner & E. Klein) Teppner & E. Klein ), which occurs mainly in the Alps, is In 1990 it was separated as Nigritella rhellicani from the black cabbage rose ( Nigritella nigra subsp. Nigra ), which occurs in Scandinavia, and was newly described by Herwig Teppner and Erich Klein . In 2004 it was downgraded by Helmut Helmut Baumann , Siegfried Künkele and Richard Lorenz from the rank of a species to a subspecies of the black cabbage flower. In contrast to this it is not apomictic and reproduces sexually . The common cabbage rose was named Orchid of the Year 2007 by the local orchids working group (AHO) .
Chromosome number
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 40.
Occurrence
The common cabbage rose occurs from the Alps to northern Greece and the Appennines .
