Georgios "George" Bogris or Giorgos Bogris ( Greek Γεώργιος (Γιώργος) Μπόγρης , born February 19, 1989 in Athens ) is a Greek basketball player .

Career

Georgios Bogris began his career at Ilisiakos Athens where he made his debut for the men's team in the Greek second division until 2006. Between 2009 and 2011 Bogris played for the Greek record champions Panathinaikos Athens, where he won two championships in 2011 and the ULEB Euroleague . After a season with Aris Thessaloniki , Bogris moved to Panionios Athens in 2012 , then played for PAOK Thessaloniki before he decided to move abroad. After stays in Andorra and Bilbao , he has been playing for Iberostar Tenerife since summer 2016 . With this he became the winner of the first ever Basketball Champions League . Thus, for the first Greek to win the two most highly endowed, competing European club competitions, the Euroleague and the Champions League. In the semifinals of the Final Four , the team had Tenerife before nor against the Italian representatives Reyer Venezia Mestre , in which, among other, Michael Bramos and Benjamin Ortner were used, prevailed with 67:58 points to the final of the Banvit BK with 63:59 points to defeat. For his achievements, Bogris was considered with the nomination in the Star Lineup, (Best Team).

National team

Bogris went through all of Greece's junior national teams and took part in a total of six European championships with them. He achieved his greatest successes in 2009 with the gold and 2007 with the silver medal.

Private

Bogris was in a relationship with the well-known Greek musician Elli Kokkinou between 2010 and 2011 .
