Girma Tolla

Girma Tolla (born October 13, 1975 ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner .

At the Cross Country World Championships in 1997 he came in 27th and won bronze with the Ethiopian team, at the Cross Country World Championships in 1999 he finished 17th and won silver with the team.

Also in 1999 he finished fourth at the World Athletics Championships in Seville over 10,000 m , and the following year he was eleventh at the Olympic Games in Sydney over the same distance.

He then switched to road running and won the Enschede Marathon in 2004. The following year he was tenth in the Paris Marathon and fourth in the Las Vegas Marathon . In 2007 he finished fifth in the Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon and in 2009 second in the Nagano Marathon and seventh in the Reims Marathon .
