Giulio Boschi
Giulio Cardinal Boschi (* 2. March 1838 in Perugia , † 15. May 1920 in Rome ) was an Italian clergyman, Archbishop of Ferrara and in personal union Bishop of Comacchio .
Life
After studying Catholic theology , the Bishop of Perugia , Cardinal Vincenzo Gioacchino Pecci (later Pope Leo XIII), donated him the sacrament of priestly ordination on May 25, 1861 .
This appointed him on June 1, 1888 Bishop of Todi . He received the episcopal ordination by Carlo Cardinal Laurenzi on June 11th of the same year. In 1895 Leo XIII appointed him. Bishop of the Diocese of Senigallia and on April 19, 1900 Archbishop of Ferrara. On April 15, 1901 he became a cardinal priest with the titular church of San Lorenzo in Panisperna in the cardinals college . He took part in the conclave of 1903 , which Pope Pius X elected, who in 1909 also made him head of the Diocese of Comacchio. He was also a participant in the conclave of 1914 , which Pope Benedict XV. chose. On January 7, 1919, he laid down the leadership of the Archdiocese of Ferrara and the Diocese of Comacchio after he had already reached the age of 80. In the same year he was made Cardinal Bishop of Frascati .
