Glen Thomas Powell Jr. (born October 21, 1988 in Austin ) is an American actor , writer and producer .

life and career

Powell was born in Austin , Texas . He was an all-state lacrosse player in Texas . He began working with Antonio Banderas and Sylvester Stallone in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over . In 2007, before his freshman year of college , Glen landed a role in The Great Debaters , also directed by Denzel Washington.

Since moving to Los Angeles , he has starred in television series such as Scream Queens , Into the West , Jack & Bobby , CSI: Miami , Navy CIS , Rizzoli & Isles and The Lying Game , along with the feature films The Expendables 3 , Ride Along 2 , Sex Ed , Love Stories and The Dark Knight Rises . He was best known for his appearance as Chad Radwell in the television series Scream Queens (2015-2016) and for his historical role as astronaut John Glenn in the film Hidden Figures (2016). In 2016 he played Finnegan in Everybody Wants Some !! as a student. , Richard Linklater's spiritual sequel to Dazed & Confused , which was filmed in Powell's hometown of Austin.

In 2018 he will appear in Zoey Deutch's Set It Up , a romantic comedy on Netflix .
