The Gmina Kamieniec is a rural community in the powiat Grodziski of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the village of the same name ( German Kaminiec ) with about 1150 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the west of the voivodeship. Neighboring municipalities are the municipalities: Grodzisk Wielkopolski and Granowo in the north, Stęszew in the northeast, Kościan in the southeast, Śmigiel in the south and Wielichowo and Rakoniewice in the west.
The community has an area of 133.8 km², 81 percent of which is used for agriculture and 9 percent for forestry.
history
On January 1, 1973, the rural community was re-established from a number of gromadas . From 1975 to 1998 she came to the greatly reduced Poznan Voivodeship . The Powiat Kościański was dissolved during this time. The rural community has belonged to the Greater Poland Voivodeship since 1999 and the Powiat Grodziski of the current format, which were newly formed. As of June 30, 2004, the rural community had 6,482 residents.
