The Gmina Końskie is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Końskie of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . The seat of the Powiat and the municipality is the city of the same name with around 19,700 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the northwest of the Świętokrzyskie voivodeship on the edge of the Kielc mountainous region and the Mazovian plains in the north. The area is characterized by many forests.
The state road DK 74 runs in the southwest of the municipality. There is no longer any passenger traffic on the Łódź – Dębica line .
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kielce Voivodeship .
