The Gmina Kosakowo is a rural community in the powiat Pucki in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship . It has an area of 47.4 km², on which 15,268 people live (June 30, 2019). Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Kossakau , Kashubian Kòsôkòwò ).
Geographical location
The rural community borders in the east on the Zatoka Pucka (Putziger Wiek) , part of the Gdańsk Bay and in the south on the city of Gdynia (Gdynia) .
Parish partnership
Since May 2013, Gmina has had a community partnership with the Verbandsgemeinde Ruwer in Rhineland-Palatinate .

traffic
The Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport (ICAO: EPOK), which has also been used for civilian purposes since 2007, is part of the rural community and is currently not served by scheduled or charter flights.
