The Gmina Kunów town-and-country municipality in the powiat Ostrowiecki of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 3000 inhabitants.
is ahistory
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kielce Voivodeship . In 1990 it received the main town again city charter and the community its present status.

traffic
The national road DK9 runs through the municipality and its main town . It connects the city with Iłża and Radom in the north. In a south-westerly direction it leads to the neighboring district town of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski .
The Łódź – Dębica railway leads to Skarżysko-Kamienna in the north and also to the district town.
The Łódź International Airport is located about 160 kilometers northwest.
