Golden Sparrow 2009
The 17th German Children's Media Festival “ Goldener Spatz ” took place from May 24th to 30th, 2009 in Gera and Erfurt . At the same time, the 30th anniversary of the festival was celebrated.
A total of around 11,000 festival visitors, including 400 accredited trade visitors, were recorded in both cities.

Children's jury prizes
- Cinema / TV film: The witch Lilli - The dragon and the magical book (book: Stefan Ruzowitzky, Armin Toerkell, Ralph Martin, director: Stefan Ruzowitzky )
- Short film, series: KI.KA-Krimi.de : Chatgeflüster (book: Anja Kömmerling and Thomas Brinx, director: Christoph Eichhorn )
- Information / Documentation: stark !: Moritz - Would be cool if she became an angel (written and directed by Simone Gabs )
- Minis: Mr. Wehrli tidies up (Director: Joerg Daiber )
- Entertainment: The show with the elephant : Art and Co. (Script and direction: Renate Bleichenbach , Leona Frommelt )
- Animation: Chicken Wings (written and directed by Pauline Kortmann )
- Best actress: Alina Freund (for the witch Lilli )
- Best moderator: Ralph Caspers (for knowledge makes you ah! )
In contrast to the previous year, separate prizes were awarded again in the categories performer and presenter, as no agreement was reached within the jury.

- Special prize of the Thuringian Ministry for Building, Regional Development and Media for the best director: Hexe Lilli (director: Stefan Ruzowitzky )
