Town Hall (Mairie) of Gourville

Gourville is a former French commune of 625 inhabitants (2013) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Cognac and the canton of Val de Nouère (until 2015 Rouillac ). It was incorporated into the existing Commune nouvelle Rouillac with effect from January 1, 2019 . The inhabitants are called Gourvillois .

Gourville is about twenty kilometers north-northwest of Angoulême . Gourville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mons in the north, Marcillac-Lanville in the north and north-east, Genac-Bignac in the east and south-east, Saint-Cybardeaux in the south, Rouillac in the south-west, Montigné in the west and south-west and Bonneville in the west and north-west.
