Grace Boutot lives in Fort Kent , starts for 10th Mtn. Ski Club and the Maine Winter Sports Center and is coached by Gary Colliander. She made her international debut at the Junior Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Ruhpolding , where she was 55th in the sprint, 57th in the pursuit race and 14th in the relay race. She did not end the individual. Things went better the following year in Canmore . Boutot finished ninth in the sprint race, 15th in the pursuit, with Addie Byrne and Hilary McNamee fifth in the relay race and won the individual silver medal behind Yan Zhang. At the North American Championships in Valcartier in 2009 , she won the junior mixed relay title with Leif Nordgren and Wynn Roberts . The following season Boutot made his debut in Altenberg in the IBU Cup and was 51st in the sprint. A little later she won points for the first time as the 29th of an individual in Nové Město na Moravě . It is the best result so far in this racing series for the US American, who will finish 34th in the individual, 45th in the sprint and 37th in the pursuit at the Junior World Championships in Torsby . This was followed by the junior competitions at the 2010 Biathlon European Championships in Otepää , where Boutot was 22nd of the individual and 35th of the sprint. At the North American Championships in 2010 in her home town of Fort Kent, she won the sprint and pursuit of junior races and was used for the first time in a major women's event at the mass start. She took sixth place. It was also the US championships , in this ranking Boutut was fifth. In 2011 she took part in the Junior World Championships for the fourth time. In Nové Město she reached the 39th place in the individual, was 47th in the sprint, 49th in the pursuit race and relay 16.
