Gracepoint is an American television series starring David Tennant and Anna Gunn , which premiered on FOX on October 2, 2014 . The series is an adaptation of the successful British series Broadchurch and, like this one, was conceived by Chris Chibnall . As in the original, David Tennant can be seen as the main actor. In a small coastal town, a twelve-year-old boy is found dead on the beach in the morning. After a brief investigation, murder is found to be the cause of death, as the place where the body was found cannot be the scene of the crime.
