Jessica Lucas (born September 24, 1985 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a Canadian actress . She is best known for her roles in Cloverfield (2008) and Melrose Place (2009-2010).

life and career

Lucas took an interest in acting at the age of seven and has appeared in various local plays such as Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs , Grease , Cinderella , Mousetrap, and Music Medley . Her breakthrough came in 2001 when she got a leading role in the Canadian youth series Edgemont . There she was seen in 47 episodes from 2001 to 2005 in the role of Bekka Lawrence . Previously, she had a few guest appearances in Halloweentown II and American High - This is where the party rises! completed. In 2002, the second leading role as Jakki Kaan followed in the Canadian youth series 2030 CE , which was discontinued after two seasons due to financial problems.

In March 2012, she was cast as Olivia for Fede Alvarez ' remake of the 1981 horror film Dance of the Devils , which premiered in April 2013 . A short time later she got a role in the CW drama series Cult .
