Greg Docherty (born September 10, 1996 in Milngavie ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Hull City .

Career

Greg Docherty was born in Milngavie , a suburb of the Scottish metropolis of Glasgow , in 1996 . From 2006 to 2013 he played in the youth of the Hamilton Academical about 15 km southeast of Glasgow . For this he made his debut in the professional team in December 2013 at the age of 16. In the second division game against Alloa Athletic , he was substituted on in the 78th minute for Ali Crawford . At the end of the 2013/14 season , he was promoted to the Scottish Premiership . Docherty was used a total of three times during the season. In April 2015, he extended his contract with the club until 2017. A month later, he scored his first professional goal in the game against Partick Thistle when he made it 1-1. In the 2016/17 season , the club played in relegation against Dundee United . Docherty scored after a 0-0 first leg, the decisive goal in the second leg that was won 1-0. After staying in class, the contract was extended to 2020. In January 2018, Docherty moved to the Glasgow Rangers . At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Docherty was awarded to the English third division club Shrewsbury Town . Then within Scotland to Hibernian Edinburgh .

In August 2020, he signed a three-year contract with Hull City .

National team

Greg Docherty played twice in the Scottish U-17 against Belgium and Sweden in 2012 . On October 5, 2016, he made his debut in the U-21 against Iceland .
