Gregor Brvar (born July 29, 1983 in Trbovlje , Yugoslavia ) is a former Slovenian biathlete.

Gregor Brvar is a student and lives in Medvode . The athlete trained by Uroš Velepec and starting for SK Brdo has been running biathlon since 2000. Since then he has also been a member of the national team of Slovenia. In 2002 he played his first Junior World Championships in Ridnaun . The best result was an eleventh place in the individual, which he also achieved in the 2004 Haute-Maurienne sprint . The other results at his three Junior World Championships were midfield placements. Since 2002 Brvar also entered the Junior European Cup and won a sprint here in Gurnigel in 2003 . At the 2004 European Junior Championships in Minsk , he won the bronze medal in relay with Peter Dokl , Klemen Bauer and Andraz Semrov.

Since 2003 Brvar has also started in the adult sector. He finished his first sprint race in Ridnaun as 84th place. In 2007 he came in ninth place in a pursuit race for the first time in the top ten. The first race in the biathlon world cup he ran in 2005 in a relay race in Oberhof . A little later he ran his first sprint in Ruhpolding , in which he was 56th. Brvar competed in the 2005 biathlon world championships in Hochfilzen . In individual he was 72nd, 84th in the sprint and 17th in the relay. In 2006 the non-Olympic mixed relay race followed in Pokljuka as the only world championship race. Together with Dijana Grudiček-Ravnikar , Klemen Bauer and Lucija Larisi , he finished in a good fifth place. In the 2007 World Cup in Oberhof, the Slovene was able to finish seventh for the first time in a relay race among the top ten. At the World Championships in Antholz Brvar was 78th in the sprint, 54th in the sprint and 47th in the pursuit. In 2008 he started at the World Championships in Östersund and achieved his best result in Sweden with 55th place in the individual.

In the summer of 2008 Brvar started in Haute Maurienne for the first time at the Summer Biathlon World Championships and ran there on the 13th place.
