Gregory Dark

Gregory Dark (* 12. July 1957 in Los Angeles , California as Gregory Hippolyte Brown ) is an American film director , film producer and screenwriter .

biography

In the 1980s and 1990s, Gregory Dark worked in the porn film genre and made numerous hardcore and softcore films. He is considered to be one of the most important representatives of the old porn genre. In the early 1990s he made some erotic B-movies . He then founded his own company in 1995 under the name Dark Works . In the same year he was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame and in 1996 was named "Director of the Year".

After a few small film productions, he tried music videos for, for example, Britney Spears , Linkin Park and Xzibit since 1998 . For its video for Cherry Poppin 'Daddies ' song Zoot Suit Riot , the group was nominated for the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards as "Best New Artist in a Video". The award went to Natalie Imbruglia for her video on Torn .

In 2006 he was able to publish his first work for a major label with the film See No Evil . The hard horror film with wrestling star Glenn Jacobs (Kane) was created as a collaboration between WWE Studios and Lions Gate Entertainment .
