Großotten is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Großschönau in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 43 building areas with 18,555 m² and 7 gardens on 1,687 m² in the cadastral community Großotten, in 1989/1990 there were 42 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 106 and in 2009/2010 there were 60 buildings on 114 building areas.
Agriculture
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 318 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 158 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 309 hectares and 165 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 296 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 167 hectares. The average soil climate number of Großotten is 23.5 (as of 2010).
