Amber pearl from the large stone grave Viecheln to Lisch

The large stone grave Viecheln was a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Viecheln , a district of Behren-Lübchin in the Rostock district ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It was destroyed around 1850 when the road from Gnoien to Ticino was built . The exact location of the grave is not known. There is also no more detailed information about alignment, dimensions and type. When the facility was destroyed, several items were recovered that were transferred to the Association for Mecklenburg History and Archeology. It was a thin - leaf flint hatchet , an amber pearl in the shape of a double club, as well as an iron spearhead and a three - sided object made of lead , perhaps an arrowhead . The tip of the lance probably only got into the grave in the Middle Ages , Georg Christian Friedrich Lisch suspected a modern entry for the lead object . The preserved objects are now part of the collection of the Archaeological State Museum Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in Schwerin . The amber pearl is lost.
