Guilherme Antônio Werlang MSF (born September 5, 1950 in São Carlos , Santa Catarina ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Lages .

Life

Guilherme Antônio Werlang joined the Order of Missionaries of the Holy Family and was ordained a priest on August 2, 1979 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ipameri on May 19, 1999 . The bishop of Januária , Anselmo Müller MSF, donated him episcopal ordination on July 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Estanislau Amadeu Kreutz , Bishop of Santo Ângelo , and Manoel João Francisco , Bishop of Chapecó . As a motto he chose PARA QUE TODOS TENHAM VIDA .

On February 7, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Lages. The inauguration took place on March 17th of the same year.
