Tarcísio Sebastião Batista Lopes OFMCap (born January 18, 1938 in São João del-Rei , Minas Gerais , Brazil ; † November 7, 2001 ) was Bishop of Ipameri .

Life

Tarcísio Sebastião Batista Lopes joined the religious order of the Capuchin in and put on 20 March 1960, the profession from. He received on 28 June 1964, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 4, 1984 Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of São José do Grajaú . The Archbishop of Belo Horizonte , João Resende Costa SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on May 14th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Uberlândia , Estêvão Cardoso de Avellar OP , and the Bishop of Patos de Minas , Jorge Scarso OFMCap.

John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ipameri on December 19, 1986. On July 29, 1998, Pope John Paul II accepted Tarcísio Sebastião Batista Lopes' resignation.
