The Gurglbach , in the lower Pigerbach , is a left tributary of the Inn in the Imst district in Tyrol , Austria .

It rises in the Pfötschegarten northwest of the Fernpass at an altitude of 1550  m above sea level. A. It flows initially to the northeast and then to the east through the Kälbertal. Then it turns south and flows through the Schanzlsee and the Fernsteinsee . At Nassereith it reaches the valley floor of the Gurgltal and flows, hard straightened for long stretches, through the wide valley in a south-westerly direction and flows 4 km south of Imst in the municipality of Karrösten into the Inn. In total, it reaches a length of approx. 25 km.

From a small reservoir near Tarrenz , the Gurglbach is usually called Pigerbach or Piger .

The stream has water quality class I-II in the upper course and II in the lower course. It is a calm flowing body of water, which benefits the fauna and flora in and around the creek.
