Gustav Hoffmann (politician)

Johann Heinrich Adam Moritz Gustav Ernst Hoffmann (born January 4, 1806 in Nieder-Mockstadt ; † December 6, 1872 in Dieburg ) was a Hessian forester and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Gustav Hoffmann was the son of gräflich Ysenburg-büdingischen bailiff Christoph Christian Hoffmann and his wife Eleanor, born Butte. Hoffmann, who was a Protestant, married Wilhelmine nee Bene.

Hoffmann was a forest candidate in Büdingen and became a district forester in Windhausen in 1834 and in Grünberg in 1839. In 1856 he became forest master of the Reinheim forest near Dieburg.

From 1862 to 1872 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 4 / Grünberg . In the estates he represented conservative-liberal positions. In 1850 he was an elected member of the First Chamber.
