Gustav von Nostitz-Wallwitz

Gustav von Nostitz-Wallwitz (born October 4, 1789 in Dresden ; † December 5, 1858 there ) was a Saxon Minister of War .

Life

His parents were the Saxon Chancellor Johann August Ernst von Nostitz-Ullersdorf on Groß Radisch in Oberlausitz and his wife Erdmunde Friederike von Raussendorff .

Nostitz-Wallwitz was trained at the Dresden Cadet School. In 1803 he became an officer . In 1826, the year his son Hermann von Nostitz-Wallwitz was born, he was stationed in Oschatz as a lieutenant colonel and brigadier in the royal Saxon light infantry. He was married to Albertine von Nostitz, née Countess von Wallwitz. In 1836 he became general of the infantry . From 1841 to 1846 he was Saxon Minister of War . Then he lived on the Schweikershain estate .
