Guy Chevalier
Guy André Dominique Marie Chevalier SSCC (born May 25, 1938 in Les Herbiers , Vendée Department , France ) is a Roman Catholic religious and bishop emeritus of Taiohae o Tefenuaenata .
Life
Guy Chevalier joined the order of the Arnstein Fathers and was ordained a priest on June 27, 1964 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Taiohae o Tefenuaenata on March 29, 1985 . He was ordained episcopate on August 15 of the same year by the Bishop of Taiohae o Tefenuaenata, Hervé-Maria Le Cléac'h SSCC; Co - consecrators were Michel-Gaspard Coppenrath , Archbishop of Papeete , and Antonio Magnoni , Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in New Zealand and the Fiji Islands .
With the resignation of Hervé-Maria Le Cléac'hs SSCC, he succeeded him on May 31, 1986 as Bishop of Taiohae o Tefenuaenata.
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on September 5, 2015.
