Héctor Adolfo Enrique (born April 26, 1962 in Lanús , Argentina ) is a former Argentine football player .

The midfielder Héctor Enrique began his professional career in 1982 with the Argentine second division club CA Lanús and moved to River Plate Buenos Aires a year later . In 1986 he experienced his most successful year when he became Argentine champion, won the Copa Libertadores and finally became the soccer world champion with the Argentine national soccer team at the soccer world championship in Mexico in 1986 . In 1990 a serious knee injury prevented his participation in the 1990 World Cup in Italy . He then left River Plate and played only a few games at the Argentine lower class clubs Deportivo Español and CA Lanus. In 1995 he tried a comeback in Japan at Tosu Futures and FPI Hamamatsu.

The Argentine fans called Enrique El Negro . At the 1986 World Cup, he was the last player in Diego Maradona's goal of the century against England to pass the ball to Maradona before he started his solo across the field. After the game, he joked that his pass was so good that it was difficult for Maradona not to score.

Héctor Enrique is currently working as Diego Maradona's assistant coach with the Argentine national team at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa .
