Hélène Binet

Hélène Binet (born July 25, 1959 in Sorengo , Ticino ) is a Swiss photographer .

Life

Binet grew up in Rome , where she also studied photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design . She then worked as a photographer at the Grand Théâtre de Genève for two years before turning to architectural photography .

The photographer lives today (2011) on Osea Island , an island in the mouth of the River Blackwater in the English county of Essex .

In the past decades, Binet has worked as a photographer with many internationally known architects and other artists. These included Raoul Bunschoten , David Chipperfield , Zaha Hadid , Zvi Hecker , John Hejduk , Josef Paul Kleihues , Daniel Libeskind , Edmund de Waal and Peter Zumthor .
