Hülsen is the name of an originally Frisian nobility that immigrated to East Prussia in the 16th century .

Origin and history

The family first appeared in a document in 1243 with the miles ( knight ) Johannes de Ulsen . The family line begins in the 15th century with Karl von Hülsen. His grandson Georg von Hülsen settled in East Prussia at the beginning of the 16th century .
