Hafizh Syahrin
Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah (born May 5, 1994 in Selangor ) is a Malay motorcycle racer .
Career
Hafizh Syahrin began his career at the age of nine years on Mini Motos . In 2010 he competed in the Supersport class of the Asia Road Racing Championship and was twelfth overall. The following year he finished fourth in the series and made his debut on Moriwaki with a wildcard at his home Grand Prix in the Moto2 class of the motorcycle world championship .
In the 2012 season, Syahrin started on FTR in the Moto2 category of the Spanish championship and was sixth overall. He also entered the Malay Motorcycle Grand Prix in Sepang with a wildcard and was third in the rain after the subsequent disqualification of second-placed Anthony West behind Alex De Angelis and Gino Rea .
In 2013 Hafizh Syahrin again contested the Spanish championship and finished the season with two race wins behind Roman Ramos and Álex Mariñelarena in third place. In addition, he competed in four World Cup races and scored a point.
For the 2014 season, Syahrin moved permanently to the Moto2 World Championship. He competed for the Petronas Raceline Malaysia team on Kalex and achieved his best result of the season with seventh place at the Indianapolis Grand Prix . In 2015 he finished 16th in the overall result. In 2016 he achieved his best result in the world championship with ninth place. He finished the 2017 season in tenth place and reached two podiums in San Marino and Japan. For the 2018 season, Syahrin switched to MotoGP for Yamaha and finished 16th in the overall standings. He made it into the top 10 a total of four times.
