Haiducii (born June 14, 1977 in Bucharest ; actually Paula Monica Mitrache ) is a Romanian singer . Your stage name is derived from the Heiducken .

Career

After the Miss Bucharest election , Mitrache started a career as a singer, actress and television presenter in Romania . In 2003 she moved to Rome . In Italy she released her first single Dragostea din tei , a cover version of a song by the Moldovan band O-Zone , but without their permission. As a result, Haiducii had to pay a fine of 10,000 euros. Just a week after its release, the single reached number 1 on the Italian sales charts. In total, Haiducii topped the Italian dance charts for 20 weeks. Gabry Ponte , a well-known Italian DJ and music producer , who co-produced her songs and contributed appropriate remixes , made a significant contribution to her success .

In May 2004 she reached number 1 in the charts in Austria and number 2 in Switzerland . In Germany she was number 2 in the single charts in the summer of 2004 and was in the top 10 for 15 weeks, just behind O-Zone .

At the end of 2004 she brought out her second single Mne S Toboy Horosho , albeit with moderate success. The third single, More 'n' More , was released in early 2006.
