Hakenberg is a district of the municipality of Fehrbellin in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district ( Brandenburg ). It is located in the small country Bellin six kilometers southeast of Fehrbellin on the road to Linum .

history

Hakenberg was first mentioned in a document in 1249. It is located on the Berlin – Wilsnack pilgrimage route , which has been committed since the end of the 14th century.

On June 28, 1675 (June 18 according to the Julian calendar) the battle of Fehrbellin took place near Hakenberg . In 1879, a victory column was completed where the Brandenburg gun emplacements were located during the battle. The battle went down in history as the "founding battle of Prussia".

Incorporation

On October 26, 2003, Hakenberg was incorporated into Fehrbellin.

Attractions

Small memorial (built in 1800 on the initiative of Friedrich Eberhard von Rochow , "Erbherr auf Reckahn "; but soon expired), which stands on the country road (parcel Auf dem Lehmberge ) where the Swedish battle line was broken.

After collecting the necessary funds, the Fehrbellin and Surrounding Warrior Association initiated the renewal of the vase pedestal. The monument was consecrated on August 23, 1857. The monument was renewed in 2002.

New memorial for the Battle of Fehrbellin: built 1875–79, 36 m high, crowned by a bronze victoria (see Berlin Victory Column ), which was created based on a design by Christian Daniel Rauch .
