Hello - here Karl May is a four-part television series from 1987, which was broadcast on the evening program of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk. Used Zeichentrick- and live action portions. The text templates come from the Karl May novels Winnetou I , Winnetou II and Der Schatz im Silbersee .

The individual episodes are surrounded by a framework story: Karl May sits in his study, answers readers' questions by phone and tells his adventures. Actor Ernst Fritz Fürbringer played the real scenes in the role of Karl May.

The series was later recut (without real scenes) to nine episodes of eight minutes each and was named Bärenstark (first published: February 7, 1987, SDR / SWF).

Both films only ran on television four years after their production in 1982/83. Strong as a bear , the nine-part (72 min.) Without real scenes, even before the original version Hello - here Karl May , the four-part (100 min.) With real scenes.

Both television series were only available on SDR / SWF advertising television in 1987 . Therefore, both series should be (almost) completely unknown to Karl May fans.
