Ham bong-sil
Ham Bong-sil (born July 24, 1974 ) is a North Korean long-distance runner .
In the marathon of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney she was eighth in 2:27:07 h, in 2004 in Athens she finished the race after 20 km.
In 2001 she won the half marathon of the Universiade in Beijing in 1:15:24, and the following year she won the Asian Games marathon in Busan and was Asian champion in the 5000 and 10,000 m . Since 2002 she has held the current national record in the 5,000-meter run . In 2002, 2003 and 2005 she won the Pyongyang Marathon , and in 2004 she was third in the Xiamen Marathon .
At the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in 2003 in Paris / Saint-Denis, she finished fifth with the current North Korean record of 2:25:31. Her last international appearance was at the 2005 Asian Championships, where she won the bronze medal in the 10,000 m.
