history

Surname

Hammersbecker Straße was named after the town of Hammersbeck, now the Aumund-Hammersbeck district . The landowners Hammer lived in Hammersbeck on the Beeke .

development

Aumund-Hammersbeck belonged to the Blumenthal lordship. In 1821 Hammersbeck belonged to the parish of Blumenthal with 133 inhabitants and initially to the Blumenthal office and from 1885 to the Blumenthal district with 453 inhabitants . In the 1920s, Hammersbeck was incorporated into Aumund. In 1939 the towns came to Bremen and in 1946 they formed the Aumund-Hammersbeck district (2014 with 7,422 inhabitants) in the Vegesack district.

The district is characterized by a nature zone with the Hammersbecker Wiesen nature reserve , the Beckedorfer Beeke , the Aumunder fishing pond and the surrounding area near Beckedorf and Löhnhorst.

Fähr (formerly Vehr or Fehr ) with a Weser ferry was settled since the 16th century and in 1855 had 613 inhabitants. Lobbendorf was mentioned in 1139 as Lobbenthorpe .

traffic

South of the street, the federal highway 270 runs parallel from 2001 through the rededication of a section of the federal highway 74. It leads to Blumenthal or Burglesum on the highway A 27 (Cuxhaven-Hanover) and has the junction on Wohldstrasse in Blumenthal, a driveway towards Bremen at Löhstraße and the Vegesack-Mitte junction via Aumunder Feldstraße.

The railway connection to the neighboring Bremen-Farge – Bremen-Vegesack line from 1888 has been in place again since 2008 through the Bremen-Aumund station . Since the end of 2011, the RS 1 line of the regional S-Bahn Bremen / Lower Saxony has been running continuously from Bremen- Farge via Bremen-Aumund to Bremen-Vegesack and via Bremen main station to Verden .

In transport in Bremen bus lines run through 90 (Gröpelingen ↔ Neuenkirchen) and 95 (Gröpelingen ↔ Bockhorn) the road.
