Hannah Liko (born February 17, 1971 ) is an Austrian diplomat . Liko has been the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the State of Israel at the Austrian Embassy in Tel Aviv since 2019 .

education

Hannah Liko studied Ancient History and Classical Archeology at the University of Vienna from 1989 . She also completed part of her studies at the Federico II University in Naples . During her studies, she worked at the Institute for Classical Archeology at the University of Vienna from 1997 to 2002 and as such was a member of several archaeological research teams , including in Ephesus and Velia , organized by the Austrian Archaeological Institute , the University of Vienna and the Austrian Academy of Sciences . She also took part in archaeological excavations in Carnuntum and Enns / Lauriacum , in Roscigno and in Salles-d'Aude .
