Hannes Staudinger

Hannes Staudinger (born March 7, 1907 in Wörgl ; † August 1, 1974 in Munich ; born Hans Staudinger ) was an Austrian cameraman .

Staudinger was initially a skier and in 1933 became a camera assistant to Hans Schneeberger and Richard Angst . In this role and as a subordinate cameraman, he was involved in numerous films for years, including the literary adaptation The Postmaster (1940). Only in the expedition film Die Kopfjäger von Borneo was he chief cameraman himself.

After the end of the war he worked several times as co-cameraman with his teacher Günther Anders , most recently in 1960 as second cameraman in Kurt Hoffmann's Das Spukschloß im Spessart . He was only responsible for a manageable number of less ambitious entertainment films. His most significant task in 1968 led him to Australia, where he for the film recordings The Age of Consent ( Age of Consent ) with James Mason and Helen Mirren took over.
