Hans Böhm (Author)

Hans Böhm (born April 18, 1876 in Cologne , † December 12, 1946 in Dießen am Ammersee ) was a German literary scholar and writer .

Life

After attending a grammar school in his hometown of Cologne, Hans Böhm worked as a businessman from 1895 to 1906 . Then studied it philosophy , German studies and history at the universities in Berlin , Munich and Bonn . In 1910 he earned his doctorate in philosophy at the University of Bonn with a thesis on Simon Dach . From 1913 to 1938 he worked as a teacher atBismarck High School in Berlin-Wilmersdorf . From 1938 to 1939 he stayed in Italy . Böhm spent the last years of his life in Dießen in Upper Bavaria

In addition to literary works, Hans Böhm wrote poetry about Walther von der Vogelweide and Goethe , worked as an editor of poetry anthologies and as a translator .
