Hans Harms (born September 3, 1906 in Wiesbaden ; † June 28, 1975 ) was a German business manager.

Harms studied chemistry at the TH Darmstadt . There he became a member of the Darmstadt fraternity in Frisia in 1925 . Immediately after his doctorate as Dr.-Ing. In 1933, also in Darmstadt, he started at E. Merck AG . He was part of the company until 1973. From 1959 to 1970 Harms was Chairman of the Board of Management of E. Merck AG.

From 1970 to 1972 he was also chairman of the Federal Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (BPI).

In 1967 he was elected chairman of the foreign trade committee of the Federation of German Industries. In addition, he was a presidential member of the Association of the Chemical Industry .

Honors

In 1953 Harms received the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany, and in 1967 the Great Cross of Merit .
