Hans Karl Wilhelm von Jagemann (born November 1, 1814 in Bad Muskau ( Rothenburg district ), † April 6, 1874 in Ludwigsburg ) was a royal Prussian major general and most recently the commander of the 13th artillery brigade.

His parents were Ehrenfried Wilhelm von Jagemann (* September 5, 1754, † March 9, 1823) and his wife Euphrosia Heniette Wilhelmine Fischmann, divorced Carius . His father was a Saxon captain and lord on Zschorno (Sorau district).

Life

On November 1, 1831, he joined the Guards Artillery Brigade as a gunner. From there he came from October 1, 1832 to July 31, 1835 in the United Artillery and Engineering School . During this time he was appointed portepeef ensign on May 28, 1833. After his return to the regiment, he was aggregated as a second lieutenant on September 5, 1835 . He was aggregated into the 6th Artillery Regiment on May 12, 1836, and assigned there on January 26, 1837 as an artillery officer with a patent on October 6, 1835. Promoted to Premier Lieutenant on March 16, 1848, he fought in the suppression of the Baden Revolution in 1849 . He fought in combat near Ladenburg, on the Federbach and near Kuppenheim.

On June 22, 1852 he was promoted to captain and on October 20, 1853 he was appointed chief of the 1st mounted battery . Then he came on September 25, 1855 as an artillery officer from the square in the fortress Glatz . But on February 2, 1858, he was transferred to the 6th artillery regiment, where he became chief of the 2nd mounted battery. There he was promoted to major on October 18, 1861 and on March 8, 1862 as commander in the III. Department moved on foot. On June 6, 1863 he came as a commander in the mounted division of the 4th Artillery Brigade and was promoted to lieutenant colonel on June 8, 1866.

During the German War of 1866 he fought near Münchengrätz and Königgrätz . After the war he came on October 14, 1867 as a commander in the fortress artillery regiment No. 7, where he was promoted to colonel on March 22, 1868. On September 4, 1869, he became the commander of Field Artillery Regiment No. 9.

During the Franco-Prussian War he led the artillery of the IX. Army Corps. He fought at Vionville , Gravelotte and the Siege of Metz . For this he received the Iron Cross 2nd class .

After the war he was appointed train inspector on September 21 and was placed à la suite of the Guard Train Battalion , and on October 21, 1871 he was given the rank and fees of brigade commander. On November 2, 1871, he also became a voting member of the General Artillery Committee. On July 13, 1872 he was transferred to the army officers and appointed commander of the 13th artillery brigade in Württemberg . On January 18, 1873, he received the Order of the Red Eagle, 3rd class with ribbon, and on March 22, 1873, he was promoted to major general. He died on April 6, 1874 while on duty in Ludwigsburg.

Jagemann married Auguste Schenk on November 9, 1842 in Glatz (* March 12, 1814; † April 20, 1856). The couple had several children:

After the death of his first wife, Julie Ingermann married the widowed Hoffmann on September 22, 1858 in Glatz . (September 17, 1821 - October 20, 1860). The couple had several children:
