The Fort Siebetshaus was a fortification to protect the naval port of Wilhelmshaven .

Location and structure

The fort was built as a closed lunette . The facility was designed for two platoons of infantry (~ 80 men). The system is around 180 meters long and around 110 meters wide. The facility was accessed from the east. Today only part of the moat is preserved.

history

Fort Siebetshaus was built in 1915. During the First World War , the Moorwarfergast battery, the Heidmühle battery and the Feldhausen flak battery existed to the east of the facility. The Siebetshaus flak battery was set up here during the Second World War .
