Max Leupold (* 1908 ; † October 28, 1991 ), nicknamed "Badger", was a German football player .

Career

Leupold began playing football at TV Fürth in 1860 and joined FC Fürth in November 1923 , for which he was active until the end of the 1929/30 season.

From 1930 to 1933 he played in the championships organized by the South German Football Association in the Bavarian District League , one of the four regional highest divisions at the time, as a striker point games for SpVgg Fürth . He emerged unbeaten as the winner from the Northern Bavarian group and was represented with his team in the finals of the Southern German Championship . In the final round comprising eight clubs, he and his club prevailed with one point ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt , last year's champions, and with two points ahead of FC Bayern Munich . With the title of South German Master, his club was entitled to participate in the final round of the German Championship .
